How to enjoy the weather whatever the weather.

Sunday, 20 - 10 (iKaruS Thinks I should date these.. but that just proves time is running away with me!)

Today, after discussions yesterday, we knew was the last day for a number of cog railways and cable cars so we choose too attempt to do two if the weather stayed reasonable. The oddly named First and the Schyinge Platte.

Time Jumping

Somehow this post was lost, but luckily the content was stored elsewhere! So it really did jump time somehow.

So I haven't yet described the lake district walks but I'll come back to those later and describe activities in Switzerland first.

We arrived in Switizerland on Tuesday lunchtime after a early morning start in Glasgow. Gene, Ken's friend met us at the airport, apparently it was some kind of public holiday for the international types in Geneva - might have been an American or Islamic holiday not sure.

To france and back in a day

Thursday - Having seen the sights of Geneva we didn't really feel like spending another day in town. Katie suggested we go to Nyon and from there across the lake to Yvoire. I had thought we could go up lake Geneva to Montreaux and up to Gruyere. But that was a two hour train ride each way and the ferry was more like five hours!

Holiday - Glasgow update

The past three days in Glasgow have been pretty good.

Two days ago we went to the Glasgow Transport Museum. Loads of motorbikes, cars, bicycles and other forms of transport. Well worth a look: http://www.glasgowlife.org.uk/museums/riverside/Pages/default.aspx

I managed to lose my brand new reading glasses..... Quite glad I took my old pair as well. Still a pain.... they weren't cheap :(
