If the end of the summary is not indicated using the < !--break--> delimiter (remove the space after the first angle bracket) then we generate the summary automatically, trying to end it at a sensible place such as the end of a paragraph, a line break, or the end of a sentence (in that order of preference).

The last two days in Brief

Wednesday - True to predictions of the fern (that lovely warm breeze) the weather turned terrible on Wednesday so we made our way to Bern. Once there it rained more. We did attempt to wander around the city - I did see the Bern Bears in their new improved 'pit'. The Pit is now a lovely terrace with hidey holes for the bears. Its a reasonable size so I didn't feel it was too cruel.

Tuesday So called 22 october 2013

So after rejecting offers at Gene's to wash clothes stating "we're in an apartment for a week it will have a laundry." It doesn't. So on Friday when we arrived we decided that the first wet day we would find a laundry - We knew there was one in Interlaken in 2008 so surely we would find one nearby..
